ABOUT
I am originally from Northern Ireland and moved over in 2014 with my family.
Having been a makeup lover all my life it was such a natural progression for me and all seem to happen so fast, it was like second nature and this is what I was meant to do.
I have a Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects, Bridal, Hair Styling & Media Makeup. I then went on to do a 7 week Creature Creation course at Gorton Studios in Aylesbury which was an amazing experience and levelled up my SFX skills. I was then asked to come back to be employed by Millennium FX, to help create two 'Kong Skull Island' heads for Madame Tussauds in London and New York. This was an incredible experience and as a new starter I was able to jump into many areas of the creative process.
I have refined my skillset and now specialise in Bridal Makeup. I would describe myself as a versatile Makeup Artist. Creating looks on the entire Bridal Party over the years has given me a wealth of knowledge to create different looks on all face shapes, ages and skin tones.
My absolute favourite Makeup look to create is my signature soft glam. This comprises of a medium/full coverage base, bronzer, blush, neutral eyeshadow and lip colour finished with strip or cluster lashes of your choice. This is a go too choice for those who are unsure what to pick and want a timeless look that doesn't fall into a trend.
After a couple years of make up, I then trained in lash extensions and worked from my spare room.
I really enjoyed the start of my beauty journey, so then trained in lash lifts, definition brows and brow lamination.
After a couple of years and a Global Lockdown, my Fiancé and I bought our first home and I started the build on my Salon in our garden!

I had always dreamed of having my own studio in my garden and after about 6 months after moving in, I finally had an idea and rough layout.
The build started in May and there was a couple of Ikea trips and lots of support from friends in the industry to help with ideas!
I have been working in the studio for a couple of months and can safely say it was the BEST decision ever!
What people are saying
"First met Emily at my trial and she asked so many questions about our wedding to make sure she got a good feel of the day to match my make up to it. Once she was doing my make up she checked with me the whole way to ensure everything was to my liking and asked if there was anything I wanted to change. On the wedding day this made me feel so at ease as Emily knew exactly what she was doing but also checked to see if I wanted anything different. Mine and my bridesmaids make up was perfect and stayed on all day through the wind and rain and even the tears! Thank you again to Emily"
" Emily really exceeded my expectations for my make up look! She was really attentive when we did the first trial and really listened to what I wanted for the overall look and it was even better than expected! I was most impressed with how easy and natural it was for her , as a woman of colour I did worry that my foundation match might be be a problem as I’ve always struggled with that in Cornwall but it was PERFECT!!
The wedding make up itself was even better than the trial and it was done effortlessly! I would HIGHLY recommend and even pay double for the make up look Emily provided! "
Emily was literally the best on my wedding morning. Myself and my girls all looked spectacular!! She had such a calming presence and made us all feel so relaxed on the morning of. She was super efficient too, so tbere was no mad rush when it came to leaving to get to the venue. The makeup lasted all day (which is saying something as makeup usually just falls off my face!). I had so many lovely comments about the makeup and I really can't thank her enough.
"Emily was such a joy, from the trial where she spent the time to understand me and was super professional in selecting suitable products that worked for my skin. She went above and beyond to organise extra help for my large bridal party so that we didn’t have to start makeup at 5am on my wedding day, and most importantly she was a saviour, as I was devastated to have broken out in a cold sore - every brides worst nightmare - and I messaged her a couple of days before the big day and she gave me recommendations and assured me it would be ok. She brought cold sore patches with her for me to try and she covered it like a pro - nobody could even notice. My makeup made me feel so wonderful when I was actually feeling pretty gross with a cold sore on my face and for that, I will be forever grateful. Emily was honestly a saviour."
Wow! What an exceptional make-up experience with Emily!
My maid of honour, Claire, and I used Emily to do our make-up for my wedding day. Because we weren't from Cornwall and were coming down a couple of days prior to the wedding, she fit us in for a trial the day before on the Monday. I also had a chat with her when initially whilst looking for an artist and she took me through the process and inspired me with confidence that I had made a great choice, along with seeing her style and great work on her website and social media sites. She got us thinking about the kind of look we might like prior to our visit and then at the trial, spent a good amount of time making sure that what we thought we wanted was actually the look we were trying to achieve and ensuring that everything married in with the colour of our dresses in achieving the ultimate result. And boy, did she achieve it!
The results were nothing short of stunning and Claire and I felt like a million dollars. She also put us completely at ease and was an absolute joy to work with. We got married at the Polurrian Hotel and when Georgia (the wedding and events manager) saw our make-up, she asked for Emily's contact details to see whether she could fit her in for her 30th birthday at short notice which, of course, she did. She has also put Emily on the preferred supplier list which attests to her skills.
